Loose Panic is a Philly-area alternative rock band blending melodic 90s indie rock influences with emotionally-charged lyricism and guitar-driven arrangements to create songs that alternately inspire head-nodding and head-swaying. Loose Panic is Jarret Crawford (songwriting, vocals, guitar), Liam Hare (drums), Anthony Carlisi (bass), and Max Blauer (guitar). They released an EP, In Hindsight, in 2023, and their debut LP, Weightbearing, in 2026. Weightbearing is a collection of nine songs that reflect on the burdens we carry—as individuals, and as a generation of seekers in a country and society we barely recognize anymore. Themes of meaning, place, loss, memory, love, and identity weave throughout the record. Its musical stylings and lyrical imagery have touches of REM, The Replacements, Wilco, Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds, Counting Crows, Smashing Pumpkins, Dinosaur Jr., Built to Spill, Modest Mouse, Pixies, and so many other influences along the way. Loose Panic has played stages across Pennsylvania, New Jersey, and New York, including Kung Fu Necktie, Silk City Diner, 118 North, John & Peter’s, Dharma Bums, Crossroads, and Brooklyn Music Kitchen.
